Los Angeles, California- NOAH SAUCEDO! The sophomore did his best Damian Lillard impersonation in the Geffen Academy
Bruins win over New Roads, 54-52. The star guard dropped 15 points on 5-7 shooting from beyond the three point line, including a game winning three point bomb from well beyond the arc with 28.6 seconds remaining to propel the Bruins to their second win of the year. Leading scorer Nathan Muhumuza and senior Joaquin Torres-Lara then came up with a clutch defensive stop to seal the win. Torres-Lara also added 13 rebounds to make up for the absence of fellow big man Russell Fisher.
In a post game interview with the De Toledo All-Tournament Invitational team member Noah Saucedo about his game winning trey, he said, “It was just a play that Coach drew up, then ran it to execution, and I was in the right spot at the right moment. “ He certainly says it best, and his performance provided a lot of the scoring on the offensive end.
This thrilling win caps off an up and down tournament for the Bruins, where they finished 2-2. With a couple weeks off, the Bruins will celebrate this win, and look to continue their winning ways in December. And one more time, NOAH SAUCEDO everybody!
